"Book History in Indian Country" - A Talk by Phillip Round
Thursday, November 4, 2010 - 4:00pm to 5:30pm

Phil Round's talk is drawn from his new book, Removable Type, and—like the book—is amply illustrated with rare images of print and manuscript books produced by American Indian communities across North America during the 18th and 19th centuries. The talk is part of the American Indian and Native Studies Program’s commemoration of American Indian Heritage Month. Appointed as a professor in English and AINSP, Phil has published previous books on print, manuscript, and transatlanticism in colonial New England and on landscape in the southwestern United States. A reception will follow.
